Barron County Republicans - Right-to-work law plays role in Badger Meter moving jobs to Racine

MOUNT PLEASANT Badger Meter has announced plans to move from 30-35 jobs from Scottsdale, Ariz., to Racine County.

The company plans to close its Scottsdale location and move the jobs to its existing plant, at 8635 Washington Ave., in Mount Pleasant, by March 31.

The state's passage of a right-to-work law in 2015, which prohibits contracts that require even non-union workers to pay union dues, played a part in the business's decision to move jobs here.

We probably would not have brought those jobs to Wisconsin if it was not a right-to-work state, Meeusen said. Full Story....Here
