In Thursday’s Republican debate, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker> will be the antiunion candidate. That will be the media snark. He signed (unenthusiastically) a right-to-work bill that applies to his state’s private-sector workers. He promoted (very enthusiastically) a law that all but ended collective bargaining for its public-sector workers.>
Critics will ask: What does this have to do with being president? Unfortunately, everything. Full storyhttp://www.wsj.com/articles/democrats-need-a-scott-walker-1438730749

On Monday afternoon, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) and Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R) issued a joint statement through the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (RACC) declaring, “This kind of behavior is inexcusable and has no place in Wisconsin politics. We are calling on all Assembly Democrats to immediately condemn this practice and return their donations from Planned Parenthood.” read more

Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says the 1st Amendment’s religious liberty protections don’t apply to individuals. On MSNBC last week, Wisconsin’s junior Senator claimed that the Constitution’s protection of the free exercise of religion extends only to religious institutions, and that individual’s do not have a right to the free exercise of their own religion.
Do you focus on who is wrong or on what is right?
Is your politics made up of invective, rancor and scape-goating of the opposition? Do you ever think about or discuss serious issues in ways other than terms of us and them? Do you ever focus simply on what is wrong and how it can be made better without referring to political identities? Don't answer; just think about it.

MADISON, Wisconsin — State Rep. Rob Hutton led the Assembly effort this session to kill Wisconsin’s prevailing wage law, the wage inflator that has cost taxpayers untold billions over the past 8o-plus years.
But the Brookfield Republican, perhaps seeing the writing on the wall — or the lack of votes in the Senate for full repeal — is getting behind a compromise amendment he says would go a long way to reforming prevailing wage.
